Very Good Condition: This 1959 Gibson Southern Jumbo has been professionally set-up and is an incredible playing/sounding instrument. It’s voice is big and well-balanced. Structurally it is very healthy. There is no movement in the top and the neck is straight and passes a “straight-edge” test. The fretboard has a mark near one of the inlays and the frets have been replaced with period correct fretwire. The tuning machine buttons have been replaced. There are various marks and small scratches on the body that are typical for an instrument of this age but no cracks. The pickguard is original and has just started to lift at one corner. The original case is included.Â
